Junior - Dates and Fees

Taunton School International's Junior Summer School provides an excellent experience of living and learning in a British Preparatory school. Pupils would benefit from attending for the following reasons:

Experience of learning in a British environment
Aiming to transfer to a British Preparatory school in the future
Wanting to boost their Academic English across a variety of academic subjects
Studying in small classes where the emphasis is on all four English skills - writing, reading, listening and speaking.

Pupils study a full timetable of academic lessons taught by experienced teachers and undertake an exciting and varied activity and excursion programme. Pupils live in the Taunton School International Middle School houses and are fully supervised, cared for and entertained 24 hours a day.

Fees

£995 per week

Fees include tuition, teaching materials, City & Guilds Exam or Cambridge Young Learners Exam, accommodation, food, laundry, activities, excursions and transfers from the airport.

Transfers

Transfers are included in the fees as long as students arrive and depart on our published dates. Summer School members of staff meet students from the arrival hall. They wear a school polo shirt and they have a sign with the school’s name on it.

On departure the members of staff stay with the students until they go through to departures, or until the airline takes responsibility in the case of unaccompanied minors. We make every effort not to keep students waiting for long periods of times at the airport.

We provide transfers from Heathrow, Gatwick and Bristol Airports.

We can meet flights arriving between 06.00 and 18.00 on our arrival dates, and 08.00 and 20.00 on our departure dates.

Insurance

Before you arrive in the UK, we strongly recommend that you take out insurance for your own financial and personal security.

You can take out your own insurance or take out the International Student Policy offered by Endsleigh Insurance Services Limited which has been specially designed for overseas students studying in the UK.

The International Student Policy covers:

emergency medical expenses
repatriation
cancellation or curtailment charges
baggage
personal money, passport and documents
course fees
personal liability
legal expenses

NB. It is advisable to take out your student insurance at the time of booking your trip as cover will commence for pre-departure cancellation from the policy issue date. This will, therefore, provide cover should you have to cancel your course for an insured reason such as illness or serious accident preventing you from travelling.
