Junior - Academic & Curriculum

Our Junior Summer School is based at Taunton School International Middle School but uses the excellent academic facilities of the Taunton School Preparatory school site:

• Science laboratories
• Design & Technology suite
• Home Economics room
• Sports fields
• Swimming pool
• Sports Hall

The academic timetable offers students a range of academic subjects including English, Mathematics, Science, Geography, History, Art, IT, PE, Music, Home Economics and Design and Technology.

Students will have 25 hours of lessons a week and there will be trips to reinforce learning as part of the timetable.  There will be a range of activities to stimulate young learners and the students will be in small classes of 8-10 students. They will be placed into classes according to their age and ability.

All students will take an English language exam at the end of their course.  For younger students they will take the JETSET examination. Older and stronger students will be able to access the City and Guilds Exams that we offer.
